Kenyan businesses have been underserved by the business software market for a long time. The global platforms - Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, and others - are built for international markets. They are priced in US dollars, supported from distant time zones, and designed around the assumptions of large enterprises in North America or Europe.

Kenyan SMEs use them because there has not been a credible local alternative. But the cost is real: forex exposure, pricing that resets unpredictably, and generic support that does not understand your context.

On the other end, web hosting providers offer email as an add-on functional for basic correspondence but not built for serious business collaboration. Too many businesses are running their operations through a cPanel inbox and a WhatsApp group, making do with tools that were never designed for what they are being asked to do.
